We try to do fun things every once in a while and this time was no exception!

Last weekend we went to the Aquarium with the Bates' and looked at all of the exciting animals. Scotty is getting old enough he notices things that are farther away the brighter the better.

This last week has been very fun, we had Jeff's mom come into town and Scotty got to spend some more time with his cousin Gage! He is an adorable little boy with a wonderful personality! Thank's to the Johnston's for making us feel right at home!

So I realized I haven't told anyone about Scotty, here it is!

1: Scotty has finally mastered sitting on his own, but he still falls over when he tries to look at me behind him ..... :)

2: He laughes at dad whenever he comes home, no matter how crabby he was before he comes home!

3: He has learned to whine.... ugh ;)

4: Scotty can say Da Da Da Da Da over and over all day.... it's adorable!

5: Today for the first time he said Ta Ta Ta! Woo hoo!!!

6: He loves to blow bubbles all day... oh dear....

7: He does push ups! He is so close to crawling! How do they change so fast?

8: He figured out how to flatten his hands and slaps the table tops, toys and mom's face! When he wants my attention he puts his hands on my face and tries to turn my face towards his! ADORABLE!

9: He got his first tooth! SO BIG!

10: When he sleeps he has to feel my face whenever he wakes up! Needless to say if my face isn't there when he wakes up, he gets really upset! I guess he just loves me!!! :)

So my family wanted to celebrate Valentines day the only way we know how... With a Murder Mystery Dinner!!! 1920's style!!!

Yes we are nerds... It was set in the 20's in a SpeakEasy... An illegal bar during the prohibition... hilarious by the way, since none of us know anything about alcoholic speakeasy's... But very interesting and awesome for costuming! Anyway we had a blast!

I take all these videos on my phone... so these are not the best quality... I know I should get out the camera and tape these but your phone is always right by you ya know? Anyway I think I should still show you guys some fun new things of my baby! He is so cute and he is just turned two months... He is now over 13 lbs and is 25 inches long... He is a big boy, and we just love him tons... He sings with mommy during our talk time we have in the morning when we wake up, it's adorable, and he smiles and laughs so cute!

He was to cute not to video! He sat there for forever and just was so chill... I decided to put him there more often!

When I put him on his tummy and he started rolling over I was shocked! I thought I would be able to leave him without freaking out he wouldn't be there when I got back.... But it doesn't look like this it true any longer!

He made it! I didn't think he would but he did... I am not like Natalie and I can't sit and write an amazing blog with awesome pictures in the hospital right after he is born. Go Natalie!!!

I can tell you he was born September 8, 2010, he weighed 8 lb 1 oz, he was 20.5 inches long and he has the biggest big toe I have ever seen on a new baby! He is going to be big and tall just like his daddy!

We named him after his dad, Jeffrey Scott Johnston Jr. and we are calling him Scotty! J. Scott Johnston will make awesome business cards!

I was induced at around 10 am and he was born at around 8 at night. Not to long of a labor which is nice considering I was in labor for about 7 weeks! :) We are so happy he is healthy and here! Thank you for all of the wonderful meals, and thoughtful visits! They mean the world, and Scotty now knows how loved his family is!

Oh and the best news of today! I am officially at my pre-pregnancy weight! Now to get rid of the loose skin... ugh!

What we learn as we get older!

So it is really interesting that as we get older and gain experiences in life we learn that all our judgments are really stupid and we should shut up our... minds.....?

My baby is due in 5 days! SO SOON!!! Lately it has been all I can do to not scream out "Get this baby out of me!!!!!" Then I think of all the times I have thought, "How can you say that about your baby?!" when other women have spoken those same words! Oh how the mighty have fallen eh? But that is what life is about huh? Getting slapped in the face enough times to be humbled....

So Jefferson and Emily got married yesterday... I don't have any pics to show for this except for a couple that were taken on my phone... They are not that good and don't be mad... I will put up real ones later

I am going backwards but that is okay! All of these pics were taken with a phone... I need to remember my camera! For my actual birthday my incredibly perfect and loving husband was his usual amazing self!

My birthday started awhile ago with the digging up of our lawn out front and the ability to add a flower bed! I couldn't be more excited! It took Jeff forever to dig this huge section of lawn up, but he did it! I helped get rocks out, and mix some steer compost in! yucky! Then I planted some flowers in it! It makes me so happy every time I see it!

Then on the day of my birthday he came home a little early from work and we started out shopping. He took me to Bed Bath and Beyond where we used some old wedding gift cards and be bought me a crepe maker! This totally cool kind that rocks! Then we went to Target to use a wedding gift card and he had me pick out some baby clothes for our little baby boy! I cried! (HEY! I am pregnant I can!)

After that he took me to PF Changs and ate a yummy dinner and I got my favorite dessert in the whole world that has coconut ice cream in the middle of berries and spring roll bananas with this awesome caramel sauce... I want some more!

But the very best part of my birthday was when we got home and I read a love note Jeff had written for me! I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man that makes me feel like such a special lady! I don't know how I got to be so lucky, but I did, and I am forever grateful for that! I couldn't be happier in this life Jeff has helped build for us and I can't wait for many more birthdays to come with him! (But I can wait for the wrinkles that will come with it! AH!)

Oh and he has the BIGGEST feet I have ever seen a baby have! ................ maybe he isn't human ............

So this month is Leah's birthday month! Bet you didn't know that! My mom was sweet and threw me a family hoorah!this Sunday. This month has been crazy preparing for Jefferson and Emily's wedding and we all have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off! ah!

I know I don't have any kids but I have A LOT of nieces and nephews and Semisi might be verging on the most funny of them all....

The other night Anna Lisa and children and I were at Grammies (my mom's) and Anna Lisa had spent the better part of an hour playing this card game with Misi... She was tired of it (obviously) and he asked to play again. She said, "Not right now" and then Misi put his little figure up to his little lips, looked very thoughtful and then said,"Maybe I just have to find someone who not so busy....." and walked away. Anna Lisa and I just looked at each other and muffled our laughter. Then we walks around to Eliza and asks "you play with me?" she said, "I have to finish the dishes." I couldn't stand it so I said, "I'll play with you!" Seriously how can you not?!?! Then we played cards for like a half an hour... Mind you this isn't a real game and get's old FAST so I said,"Misi you could do this all night long huh?" he says, "Yea I love having fun with YOU all night long Leah!" OH MY GOSH!!!!! My heart just melted and I continued to play that "game" almost all night long!

We are expecting a little bundle of adventure in August! We went to our appointment today and heard our babies heartbeat for the first time! I cried and Jeff said it sounded really strong like a boy! ;)

I found out we were expecting right before Christmas and wrapped up the test and put it under the tree! (happy urine covered present my dear!) I was going to wait till Christmas Eve and have him open it, but if you know me at all that totally didn't work out and I had him open it that night. He was excited and we laughed and cried! What an expensive present I gave him to pay for! Merry Christmas!

For some reason this go around I am quite a bit larger and my tummy is already pretty out there, last week the bishop asked him if I was pregnant and Jeff was really tempted to say, "no she is just fat" cause that is what I say to him all the time. I am convinced I am not having a baby I am having a werewolf. So I didn't think we could keep this quite any longer. Not the whole world reads my blog and I figure anyone that bothers to read this really boring thing must really care about me so I figure here is where I would post it and everyone else can just find out or think I'm fat!

New Jobs New Changes! We love it!

Hi everyone! It's time for another post! The best news is Jeff got two new jobs! One as a night job delivering pizza's at Dominoes (sp? I don't eat it) and the REAL job is at Master Control as a computer techish person that I don't fully understand but that is something he will rock at and love! He started on Monday and it is such a relief for him to have a job where people appreciate his potential and hard work! Plus we get health insurance! YAY! :)

We are loving our new ward and we are in the nursery with the CUTEST little kids who I adore and love watching! I love little personalities you watch blooming and how their eyes light up when we learn something, plus my husband in SO GOOD with kids and they all love him more then me!

All of my married sisters and sis in-laws are pregnant and they are all so cute and they make such beautiful babies that they have to keep reproducing or it's not fair to the rest of the world!

Jefferson and Emily are engaged and getting married on April 28th! I could not be more excited or less suprised! They are so complimentary to each other and they will be very happy!

Paul is going to GRADUATE this year?!?! Seriously?!?! He is such a handsome, talented, good person, I couldn't be more proud.

Eliza is beautiful and smart and she is in Jr High... weird... I am getting old...

Jeff and I are about to celebrate our first Valentines Day together! I love being married to the perfect man for me! I love my Heavenly Father for helping me find him (and Robyn and Chris and Holly Dortch) and I couldn't be happier!

We have had so much fun decorating our house. We have great friends the Thalin's who have taken us under their wings and helped us with decorating our home! That woman's house is like walking into Santa's workshop and she shared some of Santa's leftovers with us! Also Jeff's brother Greg and his wife Jenny gave us their old Christmas tree so we would have one this year! I love being home and everything feeling so FESTIVE! I love Christmas!

Robyn was kind enough to give my page a makeover..... I know it needed it! Stuff to write about... I don't know! I am not a big blogger because I am convinced that the world will be bored to tears about what I have to think about.

Well something I think more people need to be aware of is HR negative blood type. I wish people had let me know about this issue! It was a major factor in our miscarriage and because of our lack of knowledge and a really bad blunder by the AF Hospital we are more likely to lose our next baby!

If you are Rh-negative, you may develop antibodies to an Rh-positive baby. If a small amount of the baby's blood mixes with your blood, which often happens, your body may respond as if it were allergic to the baby. Your body may make antibodies to the Rh antigens in the baby's blood. This means you have become sensitized and your antibodies can cross the placenta and attack your baby's blood. They break down the fetus's red blood cells and produce anemia (the blood has a low number of red blood cells). This condition is called hemolytic disease or hemolytic anemia. It can become severe enough to cause serious illness, brain damage, or even death in the fetus or newborn. Fortunately, Rh sensitization is preventable with an immunization shot called Rh immunoglobulin (RhIg, or Rhogam™) that is taken at intervals throughout the pregnancy. Since the development of RhIg, in 1968, we have seen fewer and fewer mothers who are Rh sensitized.

Interesting Facts:

*It is impossible to clone Rh Negative people and blood.

*Rh-factor protein is divided among races. Fifteen percent of whites are Rh negative, 5 to 10 percent of African Americans are Rh negative, and 1 to 2 percent of Asians are negative for the protein.

*Those with the highest Rh-negative rate are a branch of people in Europe called the Basques. Basques have almost double the European rate (which is abnormally high to begin with) of Rh-negative people.

*Those with O- RH Negative blood can give to ANY blood type but can only receive blood from people with their same blood type.

*There are a lot of crazy theories and beliefs about RH Negative Blood!
Such as:
a)People claim from the Biblical quotes that, Rh-negative blood originated from the Watcher angels who interbred with human women during the pre-flood era, eventually producing giants known as nephilims. The watcher angels were quoted as such in the book of Enoch and as "sons of God" in Genesis 6,4. The allele pattern of this genetic survival has led to speculations of Rh-negative genes passed on to Enoch, Noah and the post-flood humanity. The blood of Jesus is sourced as Rh-negative (AB) from the shroud evidence.
b)Besides claims of aristocratic lineages in European history, "blue blood" and various other dubious claims in the past linking to Rh-negative, Peter whom Jesus had given the keys to heaven was quoted as saying that "we will be judging angels".
c)They believe we all have these things in common, which we DON'T!
There are certain similarities that occur to those having rh negative blood - according to some who have it there are common patterns found, which include the following:
1. predominance of green or hazel eyes that change color like a chameleon, but also blue eyes
2. true red or reddish hair
3. low pulse rate
4. low blood pressure
5. keen sight or hearing
6. ESP
7. extra rib or vertebrae
8. UFO connections
9. love of space and science
10. a sense of not belonging to the human race
11. piercing eyes
12. para-normal occurrences
13. physic dreams
14. truth seekers
15. desire for higher wisdom
16. empathetic illnesses
17. deep compassion for fate of mankind
18. a sense of a 'mission' in life
19. physic abilities
20. unexplained scars on body
21. capability to disrupt electrical appliances

d)Believe that human bloodlines were manipulated by the fallen angels, some call aliens.

I am sure a lot of you have heard, but we lost our little one. We are sad but we know that we will see our little one again. There have been so many problems with this and physical stuff I have been up against. But the good news is things are looking up today. I am just so glad I have a husband who is strong, caring, thoughtful and supportive. I would never have been able to survive something like this without someone like him.

I though I would post some pictures of our honeymoon! We went to Island Park and then to Yellowstone for a couple of days! I LOVED IT! So relaxing and fun! We saw buffalo among other crazy animals! I can't believe I have always been so close to such an amazing place and never seen it! There is bubbling mud there! Like in Laberinth! (I don't know how to spell that movie) Anyway! Married life rules, only becuase I married the right man! If I hadn't I think being married would be the hardest thing in the world! Poor people who do that! But the point is I'm happy and I love my husband and we are super happy and he is super kind and thoughtful and leaves me love notes and I LOVE him!

So as many of you have figured out, I am getting married, and I just have to say, this whole wedding thing is a joke. I have planned and helped plan NUMEROUS weddings! They are so fun, and everything is lovely! Then it was my own.... I hate this.... Way harder then I anticipated. Good thing I love Jeff, or I may never have done this! Or stopped in the middle. I think weddings are a bug joke planned by our parents to help weed out the people that don't really mean it. And to let us who do mean it see what we'll be like when something else stresses us out later, like a garden. I think planting a garden together would be hard..... Maybe not! ha ha ha! Luckily I have the most mature, calm, kind, and devoted man on the planet. He just hugs me when I cry about stupid people in the wedding industry, and how poor I am! ha ha ha! Anyway, other then the wedding, it's been good, our house it so much fun, and Jeff is hot! Lucky me! :)

We had our bridals/groomals taken. I just can't imagine having that many picturs of myself hanging around. What would I do with them? I mean really? Who needs that many pictures of themselves? Most my friends just keep them in a box, and don't look at them. So I took him with me, and they were amazing. I had Angela McAllister take them and she is phenomenal. I love her to death! My sister Anna Lisa came and helped me have enough lip gloss! Seriously that girl! *click* "LEAH!!!! You need more lipgloss!!!!"
"Anna Lisa..... I have enough..." "NO!!! YOU DON'T!!!!" But that was her job right? Ha ha ha!

I am so excited for the wedding to actually happen though! I love people, and I hope you are all there! YAY!

So I know you all were so kind as you helped me prepare for my mission! I appreciate all you have done for me, and how you all have helped me feel support and love from my family and friends! But I think you all should know that I won't miss you, not a single one of you....

Because, well I am not going! I am getting married to a wonderful man named Jeffrey Scott Johnston.

I know I made a joke about it, but it really isn't very funny, because it was one of the hardest most difficult decisions I have made in a really long time. I knew that I had received an answer to my prayers about leaving and so when I started feeling hesitation about leaving I was very confused. I didn't trust myself after what happened with previous experiences concerning marriage, and so it was a long five days as I prayed, fasted, and visited the temple.

Jeff is a wonderful man, who loves me so much! He is so thoughtful and caring. He thinks about my needs way more then his own, and I wonder quite often how this whole thing came about! I mean, I didn't see this coming but now that I have made the decision, I feel very confident and at peace about my life.

We have not set a date or anything, but since I was to leave to the MTC tomorrow I thought I should explain a little about why I am not gone. People might start asking questions and stuff.....

We are not officially engaged, we are just betrothed for now. He was very happy that I chose to stay home, but was surprised as we both were planning on my leaving instead of staying. Before I was supposed to leave on my mission he gave me a beautiful diamond ring (that was supposed to remind me of him, while I was gone.) That is what I am wearing till I get the official question asked of me, but he has talked with my mom, and man she GRILLED him! Poor thing!

He was so supportive and cute! He had me pick out paint for our house, so he could paint it the colors I loved while I was gone, and we picked out what we wanted the yard to look like (so he could be to busy to date all those other girls!) and everything! What a thoughtful guy!

We first started dating around December and he was working on a show, so we didn't get to see each other except once a week, and he started wooing me with e-mails, but now I am kind of glad that happened because I have wonderful letters showing the progress of our relationship and it make me smile! He was a really good wooer! Hee! Hee!

Anyway, things have just continued to slowly grow and progress, and I have never felt more secure, safe, or trusting in a relationship, and I know that we wouldn't be where we are today if I had not put in my papers, and we hadn't experienced what we did!

If you have questions, or just want to catch up, call me! It's probably been too long anyway! Oh my gosh, I am going to be Leah Johnston!

Because we thought that I was going to leave, we tried to cram 18 months of dating into 5 months! We have done a BUNCH of fun things in the mean time, and I am going to post some of the pictures of those experiences! Woo hoo!

7 THINGS I CAN DO

1. I can sing, and act!

2. I can talk to anyone, anytime... not to shy....

3. I can listen, I love to hear what is happening to those I care about....

4. I can love.... sometimes to much, and to well!

5. I can appreciate, I love to watch others perform

6. I can learn, and change! No matter how painful it may be at times! ha ha ha

7. I can fit my fist in my mouth, milk a goat, drive a tractor, and laugh REALLY loudly

7 THINGS I CAN'T DO

1. I can't speak a foreign language..... yet.....

2. I can't watch anyone I love get hurt, I come out swinging!

3. I can't dance very well.... I just pretend, and fling myself around the stage!

4. I can't stand being cold! I get so crabby!!!

5. I can't believe in global warming! Guys I have tried to see this point of view (please don't' toilet paper my house now!!!)

6. I can't sleep in the day.... no matter how tired I am!

7. I can't be an awesome super hero! No matter how hard I have tried!

7 THINGS I HATE!!!

1. People popping their knuckles, seriously makes me want to vomit!!!

2. People chewing with their mouth open, and all loudly and grossly, oh my gosh!!! Learn some manners!!!!

3. Old people driving... the roads are hazardous enough without you on the road....

4. Eliza jumping above my room at 6:30 AM when I am trying so very hard to sleep....

5. Belching, of any kind, it makes me nauseous....

6. Feminists! You ruined my life.....

7. Political agenda of any kind... Especially in little kids movies... Like Walli... I walked out in the first five minutes. I came to be entertained not to have your opinion shoved down my throat........ Through my eyes no less!!!

7 FAVORITE THINGS!

1. My family! How did I get so lucky? Love you all!!!

2. Friends! Seriously thanks for putting up with me and loving me anyway!

3. Holidays! I love when people use that excuse to be so loving and kind!

4. Being in Musicals! I love it!!! (men singing for that matter, a good male voice, and I melt!)

5. Robyn's Caramel Corn... oh so good!!!

6. Babies, and kids, so pure, and innocent

7. Just sitting around with people I love, and laughing.... oh!!!! and eating really good food!

So update on me..... Robyn made me do this! ;) I am working... and I don't know what to do.... I am the manager of Standard Optical in Sandy. I have been doing that for awhile. I moved into a new ward which is really fun! I love my new ward! They are so nice there! Caleb and Ashley, Anna Lisa and Kingi, and Rob and Tamara all had their babies! Exciting I am an aunt four times! So I decided time to do something with my life so I am going back to school to get my bachelors in Theatre Arts, I think it's called... anyway to become a high school drama teacher! That would be fun! You think? I love being single... I think I have done a blog on that before, it is really fun, you meet new people and do new things! But I am available for being set up! Let me know! ;)

You know how sometimes you wake up in the morning and you think, "Is this really going to be the rest of my life?" It gets a little daunting! Not that my life is bad, I mean I really shouldn't complain, it's just weird. I mean when you were little I am sure none of us pictured our lives being the life we are currently living. I know I was positive I would be famous by now, and traveling all over the world, and making movies on exotic locations! Oh and be married to a very hot other actor, and we would be LDS, and everyone would love us! ;) Okay I probably didn't think it through that well! Ha ha

I think that I just didn't imagine this. I love my life, it is actually VERY fun! I do a lot of exciting things, like trips to New York, flying an airplane, Michael Buble concert!, I am going to Hawaii, I do make up for movies, I don't know though, I just pictured something else. I didn't even think my daddy would die, I didn't ever think that I would be 25 and single, I didn't think I would be a boring office manager.

But you know it is different in a kind of good way. Like I think I have learned more, and am a better person because of it..... I have more empathy..... I just have a little more wisdom, and a lo more spirituality, and a better relationship with my H.F. cause of it.... a little more peace... you know?

Well I don't know what we are supposed to blog about, but this was on my mind......
